Pioneers is an international relationship builder in the technology and startup scene offering events, intelligence, and investments. Over the last 5 years we have grown our flagship event - Pioneers Festival to the leading technology gathering in Europe. Over 10.000 startups, investors and corporates attended our events in 2016, building an incredible community of technology leaders. While supporting startups stays at our core, we have learned how to leverage our network and shipped products providing valuable insights to some of the world’s largest and most profitable corporates and investment funds.
We are a fast growing team of 40 people from 18 nations located in the beautiful city of Vienna, Austria.
Advanced Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the field of technology, business and/or innovation
Your intention to found your own company in the future and a related and elaborated business plan is a prerequesite
A massive interest in venture capital and early stage investments
Excellent knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel
Strong communication skills
A background in business and/or technology
Excellent English language skills
A high level of independency, a team player attitude and an entrepreneurial mind
First practical experiences in the field of VC is an asset
Assess potential investment cases
Discover and analyse trends and markets
Research Industries and technologies
Assist in investment processes and negotiations with potential portfolio companies
Support the management of our existing portfolio
Get in touch with top start-ups, accelerators and investors
Full time position commitment (via the European Commission) for 4-6 months with Pioneers Ventures based in the heart of Vienna, Austria starting June 2017. Welcoming work environment with a dynamic, highly motivated and international team of 18 nations. Well known brand with a huge network in the startup area. Possibility to establish long-term contacts to startups as well as government.
