Program Details
BBVA Open Talent 2018 looks for the world’s best FinTech startups in three categories:
"FinTech for Future", "FinTech for People" and "FinTech for Business".
In each of the categories 3 finalists (in total 9) will be selected until June 30th and will be invited to pitch at the BBVA Open Summit that takes place Madrid from October 17th-19th.
The 3 category winners will each get 50,000 Euros of price money.

As part of the tenth anniversary, BBVA will be awarding three prizes:
FINTECH FOR FUTURE
A prize of €50,000 goes to the solution that shows the most potential for transforming the financial industry in the next ten years.
FINTECH FOR PEOPLE
A prize of €50,000 goes to the solution that has the biggest impact on people financial lives.
FINTECH FOR BUSINESS
A prize of €50,000 goes to the best solution for helping companies to be more efficient, effective, and secure.
The three winning astronauts will take the following awards on their mission:
Total Monetary Prize
€150,000 in prizes.
Assessment by BBVA
All startups will undergo an in-depth assessment by BBVA employees.
Immersion Week
Visit the BBVA offices in Madrid and have meetings with BBVA executives.
Road Show
Networking, access to events, exposure and visibility.
BBVA Open Summit
Potential for meeting investors at different events. Invitation to the BBVA Open Summit closing event.
Prerequisites
Startups incorporated from the 1st January 2012, onwards.
Startups with a turnover of up to €3 million in 2017.
FinTech or FinTech-related startups.
Startups that at least have a demo or beta prototype.
